Across cultures it's been a time where ancestors are to be honoured and disguises donned (to hide and protect from any evil spirits that may roam!) Bonfires and lanterns to light through the darkness, cleanse and protect - the rituals and divination. Offerings of food to appease the gods and the spirits.
