Blue Moon phases wall hanging

This moon phases wall hanging is inspired by the blue moon - an infrequent phenomena and the name given to the second full moon in a month.
💙 A beautiful way to bring a touch of the celestial indoors! We hand-paint thin black card with three tones of matte and shimmer blue paints and inks, before cutting into shapes representing the phases from new, waxing, full and waning moon. We then stitch with dark blue and black threads, each garland is approx 1m long and the ends are finished for easy hanging.
One side of all painted moons is black so if you like, the wall hanging could even become an interactive chart of the moon cycle where you turn a moon round as you reach each stage! (see image from our original black moon listing for example)
